UK rules explained
Are Hayati vapes legal in the UK?
It depends on the model. Hayati's pod kits, e-liquids and nicotine pouches can be sold in the UK, while its single-use vapes cannot.
The short answer
The dividing line is a date: single-use vapes have been banned from sale in the UK since 1 June 2025. The Hayati models in that group are the ones the brand files as disposables: the Pro Max 4000, Pro Ultra 15000, Twist 5000, Pro Mini 600, Duo Mesh 7000, Pro Max Shisha 15000, Solix 30000 and Solix Frost 50000.
Other formats can still be sold: prefilled pod kits with a rechargeable battery and replaceable pods, refillable pod kits, e-liquids and nicotine pouches. In Hayati's range, that means pod kits such as the Pro Max Plus, Pro Ultra Plus, Rubik 7000 and Mini Ultra, the Quokka refillable pod kits, Pro Max Nic Salts, the Pro Max shortfill and Hayati nicotine pouches.
Is a Hayati vape disposable?
Some are, and the name is not always a clear guide. Hayati files each of those models in its disposable collection, and several carry the word Disposable in their product names. The brand's pages for the Twist 5000 and the Duo Mesh 7000 describe them as non-rechargeable.
Charging alone does not settle it. The Solix and the Solix Frost both charge over Type-C, yet Hayati still files them as disposables. The Pro Max name covers both kinds.
Single-use vape or prefilled pod kit
A single-use vape is used until it runs out and is then replaced as a whole. There is no pod to change.
A prefilled pod kit splits the job. The device holds a rechargeable battery and stays with you, and the liquid comes in pods you replace. Take the Pro Max Plus: Hayati lists a 2ml pod and a 9.5ml refill container, and says the e-liquid is stored separately until the pod goes in. The battery charges at 1A, and the brand quotes 80% in 40 minutes. When a pod is spent, a fresh one from the Pro Max Plus pods goes in.
A refillable pod kit goes one step further. The Hayati Quokka devices take empty pods with a side fill, topped up from a bottle of e-liquid such as Pro Max Nic Salts.
UK limits that apply (TPD)
UK rules, known as TPD, set firm limits on nicotine vaping products:
- Nicotine e-liquid: no stronger than 20mg/ml
- Pods and tanks: no more than 2ml
- Nicotine refill bottles: no more than 10ml
- Shortfills: sold with 0mg nicotine
Some Hayati disposables list specs above those limits. The Pro Max 4000 lists 10ml of e-liquid, the Pro Ultra 15000 lists 2 x 12ml, and the Solix Frost lists 20 to 25ml with strengths of 20mg, 35mg and 50mg.
Compare the Pro Max Plus, whose pod holds 2ml at up to 20mg. Pro Max Nic Salts come in 10ml bottles at 20mg or 10mg, and the Pro Max shortfill is 100ml at 0mg.
Will the Hayati Pro Max be banned?
That depends on which Pro Max you mean. The original Pro Max 4000 is a single-use vape, so it already falls under the ban on disposables. The Pro Max Plus is a different product: a prefilled pod kit with a replaceable pod and a rechargeable battery, a format that can still be sold. Hayati describes it as reusable and TPD-compliant.
The Pro Ultra name splits the same way. The Pro Ultra 15000 is a disposable, and the Pro Ultra Plus is a pod kit.
Are Hayati vapes safe?
That is a health question, and no seller of vapes should answer it with a promise. UK rules cap every nicotine vape on sale at 20mg/ml and 2ml per pod or tank. Hayati's own site carries a warning that its products are not risk free, that the nicotine in them is addictive, and that they are for adults only.
Vaping is for adults who already use nicotine, and nicotine vapes are for adults 18 and over.
Warning: this product contains nicotine, which is a highly addictive substance.
