Hayati Remix 2400 Prefilled Pod Kit

Four pods, four flavours, one device

The Remix is built for variety. Every style comes with four 2ml pods, and every pod holds a different flavour, so you can go from a berry to a cola to an ice flavour on the same day with the same device. Hayati rates each pod for about 600 puffs, which gives the set a rating of up to 2,400 puffs. Long, frequent draws bring that figure down.

The pods are clear, so a glance shows how much e-liquid is left in each. Every pod has its own mesh coil and holds 2ml, the most UK rules allow in a nicotine pod. When one runs dry, it comes out and the next flavour goes in. The pods come prefilled and are not made to be refilled.

Remix styles and their flavours

The style name tells you which four flavours you get, and each style is a fixed set. Strawberry Raspberry Ice turns up in both Fiji and Hawaii, and Lemon & Lime in both Caribbean and Rio De.

• Rio De Remix: Watermelon Hubba Bubba, Blue Razz Ice Pop, Blueberry H' Bubba and Lemon & Lime.
• Tokyo Remix: H' Berg, Fresh Mint, Banana Ice and Pineapple Ice.

Every style is 20mg/ml nic salt. When the first set is finished, the same styles come as Remix pod packs, so you can buy the set you liked again or try a different one on the same device.

Battery, charging and the LED

The 500mAh battery is built into the device and is recharged, not thrown away. Hayati states it can take more than 300 recharges. There is no screen and there are no modes to set. One LED shows the charge: green from a full battery down to 50%, yellow from 49% to 11%, and red from 10% to 1%. Red is the cue to charge.

There is no fire button either. The Remix is draw activated, so it starts when you inhale on the mouthpiece, and the draw is mouth to lung (MTL).

Remix or Pro Max Plus

Both are Hayati prefilled pod kits with a rechargeable battery, and they suit different habits. The Pro Max Plus works one flavour at a time: a 2ml pod with a 9.5ml refill container, rated for up to 6,000 puffs, on an 850mAh battery with a smart screen, in 20mg, 10mg or 0mg. The Remix spreads 8ml across four pods of four different flavours, rated for up to 2,400 puffs together, on a 500mAh battery with an LED, at 20mg.

If you stick with one favourite all day, the Pro Max Plus holds more of it. If you like to switch, the Remix gives you a rotation in one box. How to fit a pod and start

1. Take the device and the four pods out of the box.
2. Push one pod into the top of the device until it sits firmly.
3. Draw on the mouthpiece to vape. There is no button.
4. When a pod runs out, take it out and fit the next flavour. The pods are not refillable.

The light shows the battery: green from full down to half, yellow below half, red when it is nearly flat. Charging is by USB-C, and a cable is not in the box.
