When to change the pod

Watch the e-liquid reading on the Rubik's smart display. A low battery reading means it is time to charge; a low e-liquid reading means it is time for a new pod. Because the device shows both, there is little guesswork in telling the two apart. Charging never refills a pod, and a new pod never charges the battery, so on a long day it is worth keeping an eye on both readings.

Hayati gives every new pod a rating of up to 7,000 puffs, so the device starts again from the same figure as the day you opened the kit. Long, frequent draws use a pod faster than short ones.

Rubik flavours by name

Every Rubik pod is a single flavour, so there is no pairing to choose. Some names are shared with the 25K Pro Ultra Plus, including Fresh Mint, Watermelon Ice and Juicy Peach, which helps if you ever move up to that kit and want to keep a favourite. Grouped by name:

• Ice: Banana Ice, Pineapple Ice, Red Apple Ice, Watermelon Ice, Vim Ice, Lemon Cola Ice and Strawberry Raspberry Ice.
• Fruit: Triple Mango, Juicy Peach, Strawberry Kiwi and Lemon Lime.
• Berries and cherries: Blueberry Raspberry, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry, Blue Razz Cherry and Blue Sour Raspberry.
• Mint: Fresh Mint.
• Named blends: Mr Blue, Summer Dream and Blue Razz GB.

Why buy pods and not another kit

The Rubik's 850mAh battery sits in the device and recharges, so a pod is the only part you need to replace. The device's layout, 2ml in the pod and 10ml in a refill container, is what keeps it inside the UK limits for pods and refill containers, and every pod sits at 20mg, the top strength UK law allows.

That also keeps the Rubik clear of the ban on single-use vapes, in force since 1 June 2025. A device you recharge and fit with new pods is a pod kit, not a disposable, which is why its pods can still be sold here. Pods are also the way to try a new flavour without another device: the taste and the e-liquid change, while the screen, battery and body stay as they are.

How to fit a new pod

1. Pull the used pack out of the device.
2. Take the new pod and container out of the pack and pull off their caps.
3. Click the pod and the container together and push the pack into the device until it clicks.
4. Give the new coil a minute or two to soak, then draw to vape.
