Why a shortfill comes at 0mg

UK rules limit a bottle of nicotine e-liquid to 10ml. A 100ml bottle is therefore sold without nicotine, and every Hayati Pro Max shortfill is 0mg. Hayati calls this format its 100ml Plus version. For the same reason there is no strength to pick: the only choice is the VG:PG base.

The bottle measures 41.8 x 130.2mm. It suits vapers who get through a lot of liquid and would rather open one large bottle than many small ones. Like every Hayati e-liquid, it is for adults 18 and over.

50/50 or 70/30: choosing the base

The two options differ in their split of VG (vegetable glycerine) and PG (propylene glycol). 50/50 is equal parts of each. 70/30 is 70% VG and 30% PG.

Every flavour is made in both, so the choice comes down to the base your kit is set up for. If you are unsure which base your kit takes, its own guidance is the place to check. The 50/50 uses the same split as Hayati Pro Max Nic Salts. For the 70/30, the compatibility table Hayati publishes for its Quokka pods lists liquids at 30/70 PG/VG, which is the same blend written the other way round.

Flavours from the Pro Max line

Most shortfill flavours share their names with the Pro Max Plus pods, so a familiar one is easy to spot:

• Ice: Watermelon Ice, Banana Ice, Pineapple Ice, Red Apple Ice and Vimbull Ice.
• Berries: Blue Sour Raspberry, Blueberry Raspberry, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry, Blue Razz Cherry and Strawberry Raspberry Ice.
• Fruit: Juicy Peach, Triple Mango, Lemon Lime and Watermelon Lemon Burst.
• Sweets: Rainbow, Blue Razz Gummy Bear and Fizzy Cherry.
• Mint and named blends: Fresh Mint, Summer Dream and Mr Blue.

Shortfill or nic salts

The two Hayati e-liquids answer different needs. The shortfill gives you a large volume at 0mg. If you want nicotine already in the bottle, the nic salts come in 10ml at 10mg or 20mg, in many of the same flavours.

Summer Dream, Mr Blue, Juicy Peach and Watermelon Ice, for example, are made both ways. So a flavour you like in a 100ml shortfill can also be found as a 10ml nic salt, and the other way round.

How to add nic shots

1. Take off the cap and pull out the nozzle.
2. Add up to two 10ml nic shots. Two 18mg shots give about 3mg across the full 120ml.
3. Put the nozzle and cap back on and shake well to mix.

Choose the ratio for your kit: 70VG/30PG suits sub-ohm kits, and 50VG/50PG suits refillable mouth-to-lung pod kits.
